Iconic Machines, Past Champions and TT Winners Set for Goodwood Festival of Speed
[Image: goodwood.jpg]

With the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed only a matter of weeks away, Honda confirms a dazzling array of two-wheeled competition machinery, former world champions, TT winners and current championship contenders will be in action at the largest motoring garden party in the world.

Direct from Honda Collection Hall in Japan – specifically for this event – Freddie Spencer’s 1985 championship winning NSR500 will be presented in all its glory. What’s more, Spencer, a three-time World Motorcycle Grand Prix Champion, will be re-united with his championship winning machine to pilot it up Goodwood’s famous hillclimb.

Also from Honda Collection Hall, the 5-cylinder 1966 RC149 Grand Prix machine will be in the line-up of stunning historic Honda racers and will be ridden by former world champion, Ralph Bryans.

Alongside this will be a replica of another iconic machine of that era, the Honda-six RC162, which will be put through its paces by TT winner and fans favourite, Stuart Graham.

Rubbing shoulders with past Honda champions and TT winners, 20-time TT winner and winner of the 2013 Senior TT, John McGuinness, will be putting on a show for fans, aboard the very same Honda TT Legends CBR1000RR that took him to his recent triumph.

Current British Superbike Championship contender and exciting young-charger, Alex Lowes, will provide further entertainment on his Samsung Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade at his very first Festival of Speed.

There will also be a chance for Festival goers to get on two-wheels with the Honda off-road experience. Running for all four days of the event (Thurs-Sun), attendees will have the chance to try out a selection of Honda off-road motorcycle machinery on a purpose-built track, right in the heart of the Festival of Speed event.
