UGP partners with FanZone app to help fans follow the action at Dundrod and make their travel plans
The Metzeler Ulster Grand Prix has announced a new partnership with app developers FanZone to launch a brand new mobile app in time for Bike Week 2015.
The app, which is free to download, includes access to the latest news and photos on the go, online support for any queries they have during Bike Week and even offers fans the unique opportunity to share lifts and travel arrangements with others.
Through the ‘lift-share’ system, fans can see lists of other people that are attending the event and have space available in their car, or they can also offer a free space in their vehicle to others.
It’s easy for fans to get involved. Simply download the app and sign in via email or Facebook Connect to get access to all of the new features.
James Courtney, President of the Dundrod & District Motorcycle Club said:
“With 50,000 spectators expected at Dundrod during Bike Week, we wanted to make it as easy as possible for fans to get to and from the circuit.
“We hope that it will help fans reduce their travel costs and encourage those fans who can’t drive or have difficulty organising transport to get to Dundrod.”
Ori Shilo, Founder and CEO of FanZone said:
“The Ulster Grand Prix is the World’s Fastest Road Race and we’re delighted to partner them on this new app.
“We hope it will enhance the UGP experience for fans and make it easier than ever for fans to connect with each other and keep up to speed with the racing.”
The Metzeler Ulster Grand Prix FanZone is available now for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play, just in time to start planning your visit ahead of Bike Week, which runs from the 3rd – 8th August.
