From last week's Manx Independent, news of Alan Jackson junior (son of former World Formula 2 champion Alan Jackson, and not to be confused with Alan 'Bud' Jackson!) who crashed near the Black Dub during this year's Junior MGP. He suffered a fairly serious hand injury on which he has had surgery on more than one occasion, and was later diagnosed as suffering from Bell's Palsy. It's likely to be some time before Alan can either drive or work, but his long-term prospects are understood to be encouraging. Let's hope he makes a full recovery and he's back out on the TT course alongside his brother Andy on their unmistakable dayglo machines.
