We want to thank Spada for their continued support of Oliver’s Mount. For 2018 they have become the title sponsor of the Spring Cup which is fantastic news.
Entries are filling up very fast for the Bob Smith Spring National at Oliver’s Mount, apart from the sidecars which are very slow to come in as usual.
This event has attracted a lot of Irish competitors as this will be the first Road Race of the season. A lot of riders are using the ‘Mount’ to warm up for the TT including several French riders.
If you have not got your entry in, please do so as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed. Entry forms can be found on the web site
The highlight of Saturdays racing will be the Steve Henshaw Gold Cup, which was postponed from last September, the same invited riders and grid positions will be used as posted last September, the Bob Smith event will be the prominent event on the Sunday.
Once again the meeting will include the first round of the Road and Track series. Unfortunately a sponsor this series has not yet been found, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. The second round of the series will be at Cookstown in Northern Ireland with rounds at the Southern 100 in the Isle of Man, Armoy, Croft, and Cadwell Park with the final round at the Gold Cup, Oliver’s Mount.
The only change is that the Ultra Lightweights have been dropped, but machines in this class can still enter the Lightweight also the 400’s can enter this class. Super Lightweights is for Supertwins and Minitwins, The Junior class is for 600cc 4 cylinder, 675cc 3 cylinder and 750 twin cylinder machines and the big class is the Senior for 700cc to 1100cc.
More news on the championships will be available in the next two weeks including the Cadwell Sidecar Bonanza, including the Super 2 Masters series
