The 2020 Classic TT presented by Bennetts is set for its Official Launch at next week’s MCN London Motorcycle Show, with TT legends in attendance and race-winning machinery on display plus the hotly anticipated announcements for this year’s Classic TT themes and entertainment.
The 2019 event celebrated one of the ultimate record breakers in the TT’s illustrious history; Steve Hislop, who set the first 120mph average lap thirty years earlier. Featuring a pop-up museum of some of the Scot’s most famous bikes, a parade lap and guest appearances from the likes of four times World Superbike Champion and TT winner Carl Fogarty, the 2019 Classic TT truly lived up to its billing as “one of the best biking events on the planet” and 2020 is set to be even bigger and better!
Details of this year’s tribute will be announced at the show’s opening on Friday 14th February with a new-look entertainment schedule including Fan Park, Official ticketed experiences, live music events, and a new-and-exclusive chat show with two of road racing’s biggest stars all being unveiled.
Tickets for Official experiences will be on sale via iomttraces.com and on the Classic TT stand, which will also feature the four race-winning bikes from 2019 – John McGuinness’s Bennetts Senior Race winning Paton, Bruce Anstey’s Dunlop Lightweight Race winning Honda RS250, Jamie Coward’s Locate.im Junior Race winning Honda K4, and David Johnson’s RST Superbike Race winning Kawasaki ZXR750.
Stars who will be appearing at the show include Coward, Anstey and McGuinness, who will once again be pulling the pints in his very own ‘McGuinness’s Bar’ which also features a collection of some of his favourite bikes from his illustrious career.
The 2018 Classic TT victors will be joined by TT veteran Michael Rutter, OMG Racing’s James Hillier and 2019 Monster Energy Supersport Race winner Lee Johnston, who will all be completing signing sessions and meet-and-greets on the Classic TT stand.
Charterhouse Auctioneers - who will host the inaugural Classic TT Auction in 2020 - will also be in attendance to consign memorabilia and motorcycles and display a stunning BSA Goldstar that’s set to go under the hammer Sunday 30th August.
