sadly the IoM has a small but loud infestation of morlocks who don't like change, progression, regeneration etc - they are easily identified as sooner or later they'll pipe up with "there's a boat in the morning if you don't like it".... ironic as i'd guess many of 'em seemingly have rarely if ever used said boat in their lives.
I don't particularly mind the new course sign format. After all the primary function of the signs is as an aide-memoire for the competitors and particularly for the newcomers and in that regard they look fine to me. Provided, of course, the right signs are put in the right places!

I thought this was a joke but there really are people saying exactly that on social media, about the cleaner, less battered but otherwise nearly identical signs
It was confirmed to the Independent that the removed course signs will be kept in storage and conserved for ‘future opportunities’.
On eBay in a couple of weeks?
I don't mind them, but it seems a little wasteful as it wasn't that long ago they replaced the last lot!
Or was it years ago & I'm losing track of time due to old age & stupidity!
I'm going to have to find out when they replaced the last lot now!

Not sure when they were replaced, but a lot of the old ones were looking very shabby and falling apart.
