I'm over for the last day (Thursday). I'm pedalling it, pedal to heysham, Sail out Wednesday night / Thursday morning, watch the days racing, overnight in Douglas, sail back Friday morning and pedal home.
I had the same scenario planned for last year's event but we all know what happened there.
I'd rather pedal the miles but i do have a train booked in case of bad weather.
So far, Thursday looking like a decent day on the island.

See you on the island
We'll be across again! Every year since 2012 , bar lockdown, the Thursday weather has been great!
It's our annual lads day out/swally fest!
Forget everything, rake of beers, BBQ, great racing!
I have the bike loaded up waiting to head for the Belfast ferry at 2.30 am tomorrow morning, (ouch), 7th.
Two hour ride across country to get to Belfast from home, taking my time.
Back next Saturday night....13th

She don't pillion any longer but we had many a great week, always hoteling round port erin area.

My wife, (whom I met at the TT in 1990) is staying home, she's gonna relax, not up for the crazy sailing times or being pillion any more.
I'm going over on Thursday on the IOMSPC excursion that Captain S advised me of. It sounds great 02:15 ferry from Heysham, transfer to the Billown Course, breakfast on arrival, transfer back to Douglas and 19:45 ferry back to Heysham - cost £55.00. I'm intrigued to find out if it all works out and I'll report back to the forum on my return. The last IoM excursion I went on was with MCN in 1969, 55 years ago!!! It was to the TT Races and I went with my brother, that went well so here's hoping this one will. .
