End of the Road
For many, many years the TT,MGP and S100 has been attended by spare suppliers Ernie Coates, Dennis Trollop and Ted ???, they have provided a great service to racers over the years but this year they have been told by the Powers to be at the TT that they are no longer wanted at the TT.
This year they have been put down in the fields away from their normal pitch and on speaking to one of the suppliers it was said that they would possibly not attend the races again on the IOM. This is going to result in the likes of the MGP and S100 having no place for riders to get tyres or tyres changed as these are the only ones who attend all the meetings.
The attitude of the Powers to be at the TT is that the TT is an International event and that all the teams that compete carry their own tyres , spares and whatever else is needed and that these other suppliers operating out of Vans give a bad impression of the event.

Is the a move too far at the TT

RE: End of the Road
There are a number of regulars who have had to be accommodated in the nearest grassed area to the hard-standing paddocks this year. This is probably simply because the sheer scale of some of the teams' and suppliers' trucks and marquees is causing them to take up more and more space in the main areas. There have been numerous improvements to the grassed areas, with more access roads and services points installed.

I see this as a positive sign that the TT is flourishing, and I'm sure that Ernie an Co's regular customers will still need them and find them easily.
