Race Mission Statement
The TT of 2011 will be the last year that Pat Slinn will run Race Mission.
Over the past 30 years, (between 1981 and 1985 Pat was Tony Rutter's Ducati race engineer, and his wife Elaine did most of the work), Race Mission has been present in and around the paddock and pit area to offer support and pastoral care to competitors and their family's, the teams, the trade and officials.
Over the last 15 years Race mission have helped competitors who have found things financially difficult and have assisted in the purchase of tyres, chains and fuel, and even helped out people who have ran out of food or money. (Only once has anybody failed to repay money that had been provided by them.)
The annual and traditional mad Sunday morning service that used to be held at the TT grandstand , will, Pat hopes be back for the 2011 TT.
Pat intends to carry on to visit and support ,the TT, as he has done since 1958.

RE: Race Mission Statement
I agree with Ian! You CAN'T pack it in Pat, you are an integral part of the TT. It would be interesting if you posted on the other web site, and see what response you get on there.
Whilst I would be uncomfortable in discussing my beliefs on the Internet, it doesn't stop me from being a real supporter of yours, and hoping that Ian, myself, and others can persuade you to carry on, or ask someone else (Shaun Harris?) to take on the role.
Either way, Pat, a Very Happy New Year to you. See you in June.
