Jock Taylor. A very emotional day.
The Jock Taylor Memorial Meeting at Knockhill has been an unbelievably emotional weekend.
Last night at 8 o'clock, Jackie Taylor, Jock's Dad, died. He had been ill for a long time.
The meeting today was full of action, tremendous racing, and overwhelming emotion.
The Taylor family, less Mum Peggy and sister Sheila who were dealing with the formalities of Jackie's death, came to Knockhill, and insisted the event go on as a celebration of Jock and Jackie.
In the Jock Taylor race, won by Steve Webster, all the teams wore black armbands and there was a minute's silence for Jackie.
The Kirkcaldy Club are to be congratulated on a well run days racing, tempered with wonderful support for the family.

Well said Helen, there was a special atmosphere about the place that you could not describe.
