Hi.
I'm from Madrid, Spain. This june will be my first Isle of Man TT.
I love classic bikes, cafe racers, and Harley-Davidson.
I will go from Madrid on my Harley-Davidson Nightster.
I know there is not many Harleys in TT, so if you see one, say hello
Kind regards.

Hi and welcome Chatipower,
So we all know that you Spaniards are passionate motorcycle racing fans but we don't see many of you guys racing at the TT.
I'd be interested in your opinion of why you think that may be is the case?
Que lo pases muy bien en las vacaciones.

I think in Spain the sponsors are more interested in other racing categories. That´s the most important problem. There are some riders who want run but he hasn´t enough money, i assume is the same problem for riders from other countries.
I know there are some spanish riders running Isle of Man TT. For example:
http://blogs.motociclismo.es/carrerasenmoto/
And there is a spanish rider who ran in TT four times, and try to win this year, his name is Antonio Maeso, who you can see in his web.
http://www.maeso.eu/
I could see him explaining about how is a round of TT course one month ago, when he was looking for private sponsors and donations.
Gracias.

Thanks.
Things go well. I have the ferries and today i have closed the house reserve.
So all i need is my bike
When asked why they were not Spanish in the TT, I remembered that it was because the Spanish federation forbade it, but was not sure and now I found information:
"Desde 1970, la Federación de Motociclismo de España prohibió a sus pilotos participar en esta prueba, ya que en ese año murió Santiago Herrero cuando iba en la tercera posición del TT.
Desde ese trágico accidente, muy pocos pilotos españoles volvieron a participar hasta que en 2007 Antonio Maeso, el piloto de Almeria decidió que quería entrar en la leyenda del TT y sacando una licencia especial, pudo ver cumplido su sueño: participar en el Senior TT Race."
"Since 1970, the Motorcycling Federation of Spain forbade his pilots participating in this test, since in that year died when Santiago Herrero was in third place in the TT.
Since that tragic accident, very few Spanish riders participate again until 2007, Antonio Maeso, Almeria pilot decided he wanted to enter the TT legend and getting a special license, he could see his dream: to participate in the Senior TT Race ."
