Paul Bird Motorsport has released pictures of its in-house built chassis that will line up for the Sepang test next week ridden by MotoGP™ newbie Michael Laverty.
The team has been working non-stop to prepare the bike for the Sepang test next week, as the bike will take to a circuit for the first ever time. Running an Aprilia engine, like that of its established ART machine ridden by Colombian Yonny Hernandez, Sepang will prove more of a shakedown test as the team first of all needs to dial in the electronics.
The PBM bike has a conventional aluminium twin spar design chassis with adjustable head pipe and swingarm pivot positions, along with Brembo brakes and Öhlins suspension. Laverty, who impressed in his first outing a few weeks ago has a big task ahead of him, though with his quick progression so far, the team will no doubt be optimistic.
