TT course. Race bike suspension set up .
After attending the Manx newcomers weekend I came home with lots of tips on this and that , but one that I still feel needs more imput before I go and spend my hard earned is.
This question is aimed at racers only , what would you recommend as a good base setting for the suspension ?  eg soft road , road , track hard .

Go with road settings to start with, generally the bike needs to be softer all round for the TT course or you'll be getting flung out of the seat due to the bumps.

As you settle in you will be able to dial it in to suit yourself.

Softish and progressive, knock off the rebound damping a little as the shock/forks need to recover quickly over the bumps/ripples, everything bottoms out through bottom of Bray and Barregarrow so don't worry about that, if she feels good from Ginger Hall to Milntown then she should be fine elsewhere. I used to replace the head race bearings every year - cheap to do but a most critical part of the whole machine, make sure the steering damper is in top condition too - no dead spots at all and totally smooth in action as it's about to get a damn good beasting. Write down your settings and any issues with such settings, what(if) you change and don't go for big changes. Have a bloody good time ..
