Hope you get well soon Ken!

I have had contact with Ken over the week-end and he is still in Nobles Hospital as they await a vacant bed in Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

He tells me that while he is healing, this is coming along slower than he anticipated, and just to complicate matters he has had to have the plaster removed (and replaced) to allow the staff to reset his injured wrist.  

Ken is now in Blackpool Victoria hospital and much closer to his home.

Unfortunately, he has had a slight regression in his general condition, and is now on a regulated slow release morphine drip.

Ken was settled last night and some examinations are  expected to be carried out today.

I will find out what ward he is on and let you all know so that you can send him a card (which I think he would appreciate), if you so wish.

Have been in to see Ken this afternoon and he is doing fine taking all things into consideration.

Obviously still suffering some pain and he is receiving appropriate medication for that.

Carol (his wife) is in attendance making sure he behaves himself.

I have just been in touch with Ken, who is now at home and recovering.

The Physio calls every day and as yet Ken still requires assistance to get about the house for routine matters. 

However Ken is simply so glad to be home and in familiar surroundings.

Ken wants to express his sincerest gratitude to everyone who took the time to send him Get Well cards and best wishes, so "Many Thanks for all of your best wishes and your concerns, it has been a very welcome boost" .

I shall of course keep you all  up to date on Kens progress as time goes on.

Thanks for the update Malcolm - good to see he's home.  I meant to send him a card but it coincided with me getting ill and having to try and work through it.  Never got anywhere near a card shop the whole time...

I did'nt know he was injured was it at the Manx I'm glad he's on the mend I have never met the chap but all the best Ken!
