RE: Norton 2009 underseat exhaust !
I've just been looking more closely at the Norton in the photos and notice the Exhaust comes out under the seat !

Now remembering the sheets of flame that came out of the low level versions of the pipes last we saw it racing, will the bikes and riders following get a bit barbecued with the pipe where it is now ??

Commemts please !!

RE: Norton Motorcycles confirm return to Isle of Man TT 2009!
My First post!!!!
I hope this reaches anyone who might be able to help me find contact details or any information about Nick Collis.

I want to know because I suspect/hope that this is the Nick Collis who is the son of George Collis who was killed in the 1970 Manx GP lightweight race. I also believe that Nick Collis was involved in an unfulfilled attempt to attack the world land speed record on a jet-propelled bike.
I was with George in the island when he was killed and Nick (Nicky to me) was also there with his George, his wife, Maureen and his mechanic (who's name I can't remember).
I have spent hours phoning as many of the Collis's that are in the BT phone book around the Hampshire area, but so far no luck.

One more thing on the George Collis front - does anyone know if Simon Buckmaster is the son of Ken Buckmaster? George raced with Ken Buckmaster in endurance races in the sixties (I believe), and this might be a way of tracking Nick down.
Again, any help, however vague, would be gratefully welcomed.

Yes on both counts Glenn, Nick is the son of George Collis, and Simon's father is Ken.

Sorry I can't help with contact details.
