Rob Hodson - programme says 270cc Kawasaki.  Timing says AJS 7R.  Fairing says New Zealand - I'm not sure it isn't a trick 350 Velocette.  Discuss...

I have to say that the standard of machine presentation throughout the entry is superb.

Mikey Evans on the Faraldo KTM - can anyone confirm if it was a 250 or 390 engine in this thing?

These are possibly the last racing shots I take on the Island...  My homestay is ending as the people are moving off Island, so unless I can find affordable accomodation it will all be over.

Superb photography.
I would be surprised if suitable accommodation could not be found for you next year.
I hope you are successful.

RE: Monday MGP Practice
Thanks Splashdown. Rhys Hardisty took that girder forked Velo round at over 93mph in practice - would you happen to know if that's the fastest ever girder fork lap?

RE: Monday MGP Practice
I would say that 93mph IS the fastest girder fork lap. Well done Rhys.
Having said that, Stanley Woods managed a 90mph lap in 1939, one of only four riders to achieve this feat before the war.
Can anyone name all four riders?
I wouldn't have minded having a lap on a Mk8 Velocette just to see how I got on. Always loved the look of the bike.

That just shows the super talent of Stanley Woods, in 1939 the course was in much worse condition and 1939 tyres are a long long way from today's rubber.

See you on the island
