As the title says, 2024 Manx Grand Prix Steam Packet bookings are available online

I just booked for 2 weeks and got a special offer of £378.50 for me and my motorhome (Standard fare is £510)

Only 283 days to go!! (201 for the TT)

Sadly I still don't plan on going next year, combination mainly of the shortened schedule, but old age and our usual accommodation being sold drawing the line under so many years of fun.

But never say never!

Ferries booked, Wednesday to Wednesday.... Heysham both ways, afternoon out, just in time to catch Wednesday evening practice, then back Wednesday morning.

I'm at the TT for race week next year but could be my last TT race week as I'm liking the manx more and more these days.... Future ones i fancy going to manx for the full event and maybe a couple of days at the TT. Manx is much much better for the riding, the variety of machinery, the much less crowded watching and the chilled atmosphere.

I could see me going across to the TT for the back end of the event, maybe catch the last 3 days. Better to catch the last 3 days than leave the island with the event running.

I'm retired and have a small motorhome so 2 and a bit weeks (Sat to Mon) at the TT and this year I had my (road registered) Classic Race Honda 350 K4 for blasting around the circuit (50mph limit everywhere except the mountain)
It was great fun passing bigger, modern, sportier bikes on a 50 year old classic

I also had my Royal Enfield Continental GT535 for transport which proved surprisingly good fun everywhere, including over the mountain

For the Manx I was planning on having the Honda and my 1974 TZedded RD Yamaha at my disposal, but my ferry was cancelled so I lost a few days at the start and then lost a few days at the end with Covid - begger!

For 2024 I am planning on a Honda RC181 replica (if I get it finished) for my 2 and a bit weeks at TT and my Enfield for transport. For the Manx 2 weeks (Sat to Sat) the RC181 and either the Yamaha or my Suzuki GSX-R1000R (the 50mph limits start being removed soon after the racing finishes, so the Gixer could get a decent thrashing!)

Booked - Surprisingly with no drama, for the Manx 2024 (Wednesday to Wednesday) at a considerably cheaper rate than previous years - Van with bikes aboard - can never understand in these days of digital computerised data processing why on earth the Steam Packet Company cannot just accept repeat like for like bookings year on year - we as loyal customers have to endure the annual calendar watch to catch the sailing release dates and hopefully secure preferred slots - can make the skin of your head grow tight !
Has the new era of the Manxman allowed extra capacity to ensure availability is easier or have the changes to the traditional 'Manx' and the ever increasing costs resulted in a severe drop in demand for travel ?

Just booked Friday 16th to Weds after racing.
