Radio TT
Don't know what you chaps think but I use to love getting up and putting the radio on at the TT. But this year the lady presenter that did the morning show really got on my nerves this year. The music was also poor in my opinion.Johnny Moss was his usual witty self. I also miss the likes of Roy Moor. He could easily fill in a hour or two between races. I can't see us going back to the days off " Over to Roy Moor at the hair pin". But it would be nice for him to still play a part in the build up or between races. The other thing was how quick they shut it down after the sinor . No afterburner show it was like the TT hadn't happened. A few events on the Sunday would be nice just to help wind down to next year.

RE: Radio TT
Yes it used to better when Geoff Cannel ,Peter Kneale,Charlie Williams were doing it and Roy Moor with his sometimes funny stories as for the music I'm a bit of a rock fan so it wasn't to bad this year but we can't live in the past I suppose its a generation thing younger people come in and change everything im 72
now the young uns are are not interested in what I think as long as the TT keeps going that will do me

RE: Radio TT
My only complaint was that I heard 'We Built This City' less than 20 times.

RE: Radio TT
I miss the old 3 point commentary too, used to have it playing (loud) in the garage while I was busy, maybe outside, and could visualise the scene whilst doing something useful.....no more, now I find myself indoors watching a screen.... Sad
I always remember Roy Moore describing the MV supersport bike...."here comes the Italian national anthem, just listen to this!!"

Long live real road racing!!

RE: Radio TT
I only listen to radio TT for the race commentary and a bit of post race chat - that's more than enough for me

IMHO: Certainly, many years ago Roy Moore was certainly an ok commentator and certainly an excellent raconteur, certainly in later years his commentary was certainly very poor, certainly.
I think he realised this and retired - I hope he has a long and happy retirement

How was the Black Betty count?

For me the TT didn't start until I heard Black Betty.

RE: Radio TT
My wife and I listened to the Senior on Radio TT last Saturday, sitting on the bow of a narrow boat out in a canal in the middle of nowhere, with a stunning view, perfect weather and some beer on the go. We did the same for the first sidecar race and loved that too.

Even though we could have watched them on TT Live (which we'd paid for), we preferred the almost nostalgic radio commentary. Close our eyes and we were there.

As to what they broadcast between the races, we haven't a clue!
