Manx2 flight suffers burst tyre in Blackpool Incident
Passengers on board a Manx2.com flight from the Isle of Man were evacuated from the aircraft after a tyre burst on landing.

The incident happened today (Saturday) at 11.38am when the 11.20am service came into land at Blackpool International Airport.

Fire crews attended the scene.

Isle of Man Airport director Ann Reynolds said:

"There was no one hurt. Other than a burst tyre there was no damage to the aircraft."

A Manx2 spokesman said:

"The Let-410 aircraft landed safely and all nine passengers were disembarked without incident by Blackpool Airport staff. An additional aircraft was flown to Blackpool carrying a spare tyre and an engineer.

"The additional aircraft was then used to fly passengers on the flight scheduled to leave at 12.20pm to the Isle of Man."

The return flight to Ronaldsway was due to land at 2.45pm, almost two hours behind schedule.
