Kennaugh pursues new challenge
.
'It's been a long winter and now it's time to get out there and burn some rubber' - Hudson Kennaugh
South African Hudson Kennaugh will challenge for the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 title this season on a Kawasaki ZX10R after joining forces with the new Ionic Balance Linxcel Racing team.
Kennaugh endured a nightmare season in 2011, leaving the Splitlath Aprilia team to join PR Kawasaki for the final four rounds of the British Superbike Championship as a replacement for injury victim Simon Andrews.
The previous year he finished as the runner-up in the Evo class after riding for MAR Kawasaki and Splitlath Aprilia, but this season the 31 year old will pursue a different challenge in the Superstock 1000 class.

Kennaugh has linked up with new bike racing backers Ionic Balance, manufacturers of health-promoting negative ions wristbands and Linxcel.
The team will have support from Bob Grant Racing/Complog Performance with additional input from Maxton Suspension and Blu Security and Storage.
Kennaugh said: “I'm happy to be involved in bringing new sponsors into BSB, and looking forward to building on the enthusiasm. It's been a long winter and now it's time to get out there and burn some rubber.”
Calum Liptrot, Managing Director of Ionic Balance, added: “Everyone involved in this team has the winning attitude and we look forward to maximum performance and winning results.”
