The Monster Energy Yamaha YART team will line up on the pole position for the prestigious Suzuka Eight Hour race tomorrow following the Top 10 Trial with Katsuyuki Nakasuga setting a new World Endurance lap record during the final qualifying session as team-mates Tommy Hill and Noriyuki Haga now prepare for the gruelling race.
The team celebrated the pole position, Yamaha's first at the event since Haga in 2000, ahead of the MuSashu RT Harc-Pro team as triple BSB champion Ryuichi Kiyonari had been the quickest rider on the track with the fastest lap of the weekend looked set to claim the pole position until Nakasuga's flying lap.

Yoshimura Suzuki who had set the pace yesterday in the combined sessions were third fastest, with their line up including 2009 BSB champion Leon Camier with the FCC TSR Honda team completing the top four. The Honda TT Legends team missed out on the Top 10 Trial to fight for the pole position following yesterday's session, they will start from 17th.
