When it was announced that Danny Eslick would ride for ILR Kawasaki in the opening round of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship at Brands Hatch, there was an understandable air of eager anticipation.

After all it's not every day a Daytona 200 winner lines up on a British Superstock race grid.

Despite having never raced at the Kent circuit before, Danny lapped consistently throughout the race meeting and scored a strong top ten placing in 8th.

The original plan was for Eslick to do one round and see how things progressed.

But such is the extent of the mutual like and respect between Danny and the team, as well as his obvious delight at racing in the UK, the Oklahoma native is keen to do the next round at Oulton Park (where despite having his first outing at this circuit he lapped consistently fast in the recent Official BSB test), with more rounds possibly pencilled in.


All this of course takes financial backing, and with the 2014 team budget already allocated, this unfortunately means that it is not possible to fully fund this venture with the full support it deserves.

This is a shame for since arriving on these shores a few weeks ago, the talented American has proven to be a rider of impeccable character and professionalism, and extremely popular with his fellow competitors, race fans and the media alike.

Rather than see a rider with these qualities lost to the domestic race calendar, we would like to take this opportunity to ask if anyone is willing to back Danny Eslick's UK ambitions further.
