Honda Teams to Compete in the FIM World Endurance Grand Prix Series Round 2, the 37th Coca Cola Zero Suzuka 8-hour Endurance Road Race

Honda announced details of its teams to compete in Round 2 of the FIM World Endurance Grand Prix Series, the 37th Coca Cola Zero Suzuka 8-hour Endurance Road Race, to be held at the Suzuka circuit in Mie Prefecture, Japan, on July 27.

#MuSASHi RT HARC-PRO

MuSASHi RT HARC-PRO will be racing with the same winning riders from last year’s Suzuka 8 Hours race, aiming to conquer the event two years in a row. 24-year-old Japanese rider Takumi Takahashi has won two races straight in the JSB1000 class in this year’s All-Japan Road Race Championship Series, and leads the championship points. 31-year-old British rider Leon Haslam is currently ranked 10th in this year’s FIM World Superbike Championship. 21-year-old Dutch rider Michael van Der Mark is currently ranked an impressive 1st in this year’s Supersport World Championship.

#11 F.C.C. TSR Honda

F.C.C. TSR Honda will race with 39-year-old Suzuka 8 Hours Race veteran Japanese rider Kousuke Akiyoshi and 27-year-old British rider Jonathan Rea, winner of three of this year’s FIM World Superbike Championship races.

#22 Honda Team Asia

Honda Team Asia will race with 30-year-old Malaysian rider Zamri Baba and 21-year-old Indonesian rider Dimas Pratama. Baba is winner of both races in the opening round of this year’s Asia Road Racing Championship. Both riders are currently battling in the Asia Road Racing Championship.

Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) will be providing technical support for teams competing on the Honda CBR1000RR.
