Is there any Drag racing in Ireland? RWYB meets, even illegal street racing like the Yanks?

i had a dog with no legs once, that i used to take out for a drag.

There was a couple of proper "BIG" lads running round Port Stewart in dresses at last years NW200. Is that "Drag" racing then ???

There used to be 14 mile sprint racing in Ireland under the auspices of The Blackchurch Racing Association, The event was called Turvey Avenue Sprint, sadly the event has not been run for several years.

I think some of the clubs around Cork city still organize these events , its quite a few years since i completed in them , but i recall great enthuasm amongst these lads , The name Skillington (Tony) i think , was one of the leading persons , sorry , cannot think of the name of the club at present.

The club in question is the Munster Club , and the guy you need is , Tony Skillington 0214313345.Hope this gets ya sorted.
