Southern 100 Racing are pleased to announce that race winners in all the main races held on the Colas Billown Course in 2018, the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races, the Radcliffe’s Post TT Road Races and the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 International Road Races will in addition to receiving their laurel wreath, will receive a Medal, which has been struck especially for the three events.

The medals are being made from Sterling Silver 925 and produced by Japanese organisation General Incorporated Association CSA, who are providing a total of 32 over the three road races.

Southern 100 Chairman George Peach said:

‘Southern 100 Racing is delighted and honoured to be have been approached by Natsuki Soutome of CSA who are designing these one-off Sterling Silver Medals for each of the race winners at our three race meetings in 2018.

‘There will be 14 for the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races; 3 for the Radcliffe’s Post TT Road Races and 15 in all for the IOMSPC Southern 100 International Road Races – eight for the races on Tuesday and Wednesday and seven differently designed for the feature races on Championship Day, Thursday.’

Natsuki Soutome of General Incorporated Association CSA commented:

‘I designed this Medal respectfully with the time-honoured motif and the course image such as old castle and Manx stones. The caved message means for high praise to the winners and wish for the race’s luck.

‘The front of the sterling silver 925 medals will show the three Legs of Mann whilst the back will have a Map of the Billown Course and the year – the winners name can be added also.

‘The seven medals for the Championship Day are designed with a quite different concept.’
