Southern 100 Racing’s Club Chairman, George Peach is never normally rendered speechless, but he certainly was at the Clubs Annual Dinner, at the Best Western Palace Hotel & Casino in Douglas when the Chairman of Castletown Commissioners, Colin Leather presented him with an Illuminated Address in recognition of his service to the ‘Friendly Races’, having first joined the Committee in 1982, becoming Secretary in 1989 and elevated to Chairman in February 2018.
George having regained his vocal chords thanked the Castletown Commissioners, the people of Ancient Capital and everyone present for the kind gesture, but said, that none of his involvement would have been possible without the support and backing of his wife Sue.
The Citation reads:

In recognition of his tireless, long and committed public service to Castletown, the Southern 100 Motorcycle Club and the Motor Cycle Community Worldwide. It is recognised that as a long-standing member of the Southern 100 Club, joining the Southern 100 Committee in 1982 and being appointed in 2018 at the club’s Chairman, being the 6th such appointment since the organisation was in augurated in 1955, to organise the Billown Circuit Races, known as:
