Hislop Norton
I saw a picture on another site of someone setting off on a white rotary Norton number 19 with the Hizzy helmet and the white / red leathers.

Anyone know anything about it?  Seems odd that it wouldn't have rated a mention given the iconic status etc.

Thanks for the reply - shame it isn't getting a bit more fan fare.

Of the TT racers I saw ....... DJ was the most exciting to watch but the I reckon the fastest was Hislop .

It dose look bloody nice. I've seen the Norton's go round Oulton park many years ago and I was on the island to see Micky Dunlop's lap. But I would of sold  a kidney to Hislop ride the white charger on the island.

RE: Hislop Norton
In my TT watching history I'd say that Hislops '92 white Norton (#19) bike is about as iconic as they get.

Seems very low key for such a great tribute - hopefully the organisers will pick up on it a bit more.

Excellent news, can't wait to see & hear it again soon!
I made this video of the Norton rotary "parade lap" about 7 years ago ( 7 years??!?? where's that time gone?)

There's also an official MGP video of the Wizz set up, from a few months back

A bit late in posting, but please spare a thought for Steve. We lost him 20 years ago today.

RIP.

I were lucky enough (if age can be called luck) to be on the island on that senior day. It truly were nailbiting, never had being glued to the radio been more apt.

No fancy tinterweb live timings, no streaming.... Just sat in the hedgerows immersed in the atmosphere watching the spectacle and glued to the radio.... Special days those

See you on the island

Indeed H2 - was watching up at Brandywell, last lap Steve was so fast and deep/wide through the corner. literally riding the wheels off it.
