Joey Dunlop
Anyone who has anything to do with motorcycle racing will have noticed that the hole he left cannot be filled

Re: Joey Dunlop
I received mixed reactions to my suggestion that perhaps we take time to sit and reflect on Joeys acheivements, his life and how we best remember him---I do not think we have had any precedent in TT history of such an occasion---So I personally will have my day of remembering Joey because July 2nd is an easy day to remember--I was at Silverstone and left early to get ahead of the traffic--I knew nothing about it until I switched on the Ceefax and saw the news.......
I never got to know Joey well- I know Davy Wood better but I had and still have a great respect for Joey--as a rider but also as a MAN ....
Lets remember him..........................;

Re: Joey Dunlop
On the 2nd July this year, and every year from now on, I will do what I did on the evening of 2nd July last year - go for a lap of the TT Course in memory of Joey.
