Bear in mind that the instigators of the new regs are not the Rider's Liaison Officers, but the ACU. these guys are employed by the Depatrment of Tourism NOT the ACU. They have no influence there, not would they claim it.
In the absence of sensible...or any...replies from the responsible authority, I can understand your anger (me mad too!!), but lay off the guys who are getting the flak with no way of changing the situation.
