I would like to tell you about the Isle of Man TT Races: Heritage, Place and Spirit Conference to be held on May 28th - 30th, 2007 at the Villa Marina, Douglas, Isle of Man.

We are supported by the University of Huddersfield: http://www.hud.ac.uk/hubs/ and the International Journal of Motorcycling Studies: http://ijms.nova.edu/

The conference is taking place to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the TT Races and we want to explore and identify what makes the TT such a special motorcycling event. Others, such as the Japanese may be planning to imitate it, but the Isle of Man TT Races remains unique as a motorcycling racing festival. Long may it remain so.
