Seamus Green's family thank fans
TT RIDER'S FAMILY SAY THANKS FOR SUPPORT
THE family of badly injured TT rider Seamus Greene say the concern of well-wishers has been a 'great comfort'.
Seamus, from County Donegal, remains unconscious in a hospital near his home more than four months after a practice smash at the TT.

His brother Padraig said Seamus's conditions was 'largely unchanged' since the crash at Ballahutchin on the Monday of practice week.

However, the family remained 'hopeful'.

Seamus's machine was in collision with a bike ridden by Japanese racer Jun Maeda. Jun was transferred to a hospital in Manchester, but died from his injuries during race week.

After receiving treatment at Noble's Hospital, Seamus, a Manx Grand Prix winner, was moved to Walton Neurological Centre, Liverpool, before being transferred to nearer his home.

The family had asked for no updates on Seamus's condition to be issued, but has agreed to a short statement being released to thank well-wishers.

'The family have been overwhelmed by the racing community and others' response to Seamus's accident,' his brother said.

'We would like to thank everyone for all their cards and good wishes messages. Your concern has been a great comfort to the family.

'Seamus's condition remains largely unchanged. He is physically quite well, but has not regained consciousness.

'It continues to be a difficult time for the family and the outcome is uncertain, but we remain hopeful.'
