I need good quality head and shoulders preferably colour photos of Joey, Frank and Mervyn.
Preferably wearing leathers from the Armoy Armarda period or before, but not wearing helmets unless they are puddings and and goggles not down and racing giving good facial details.
These are for a proposed Mural to be funded by the Ulster Scots Association as a cross community project to replace an existing Nural and painted by a professional artist.
The local Community Associarion of which I am Treasurer already have the funds sitting in the bank.
I was having a drink with Jim in the Scenic Inn in the Glens about a year ago, first time I had met him, dont know where he lives or his number so would appreciate it, PM me please.
Tom, I expect that you have "been down this road already" but in Mac McDiarmid's Biography of Joey many of the Armoy photos are attributed to David Wallace. He seems to have a fair collection, as does Clifford McLean of Pacemaker.
I'm sure that Mac himself would help too, if he could.
Thanks John. Jim Dunlop has an original copy of the Armada mag he is going to let me have, and Melvin Kennedy, Haranks broyjer is going to chase up for me.
Have not been down the road you mentioned, any contact numbers you can let me have?
Many thanks to all who supplied me with photos and a copy of the original Armoy Armada Magazine and big Franks family and Jim Dunlop for their advice and support.
All we need now is the decent weather to get started.
