Manx Radio have just reported that this mornings opening of the new Marshalls Headquarters was soured by the news that the marshalls on duty last night never got away from their posts on the mountain untill gone 11pm. This was due to the new one way system in place, it was said that after pratice the marshalls wre kept behind tp re place all the cones. How is this a marshalls job, they are not paid to do the work they already due so why load more work on them, it should be down to the DOT and The Police who are paid.
An urgent meeting has been arranged for this afternoon to try and resolve the problems.

We all had to wait until the DoT lorries carrying the cones,were driven back up the mountain,also a recovery vehicle had to extricate Barry Wood's machine from the Waterworks 2 area.It was indeed 11 pm before I arrived home.We entertained ourselves with silly songs like " She'll be coming round the Mountain when she comes",but it was cold and we all hope things will be better on Monday,or there may not be sufficient marshals! :roll:
