Joey picture
I found this picture on http://www.irishbikeracing.com/ and I really like it. I can't be sure but I suspect it was the day that Joey famously passed Roger Marshall to win the TTF1 race at the Ulster GP.............Roger was terribly upset afterwards
That feat was repeated this year by Guy Martin............it seems Guy has found Joeys line at that corner..........Windmill ?
I can just imagine what is in Roger's mind when he looked round and Joey was there (still).

Makes me smile just remembering and thinking about it. For some the golden era of road racing is the 50s and 60s but for me it was late 70s and 80s with World Championship road racing at Dundrod and the TT.
TTF1 was a wonderful class road based but only very loosely with any make or design of frame allowed. It took a while but eventually the greed of commerialisation stole the idea and developed it into the dressed up road bike based superbikes we we see today. But they have nothing on the real race bike TTF1s................ even the 500s have gone 4 stroke.

The man who took this picture has now registered on TTwebsite.
I'd expect that we'll see more of his work

A few years back, I took this snap pf Joey having broken
down at my favourite watering hole (it still is!)
I have forgotten the details but it was mentioned in the Just
Joey book.
Who can tell me the year and race?
