Re: Joey Dunlop Foundation
Well Done for this posting, it came better from you !
Yes as I read it in the local paper, it has inspired me to help to do something even more so,
to get the lodge off the ground this year.
We will need to help this foundation even harder this year to help them achieve their goal and they will ! Now the Mighty Oak has received the
funds they needed, we can push the advertising for this wonderful Joey Dunlop Foundation.
It is certainly a project much needed here on the Isle of Man, you only have to look at the poor
standard of facililies in the main hotels in Douglas shown in the 'Official Holiday Guide 2005'
and frankly it is embrassing considering all the
hotels had to upgrade to meet fire regulations etc....and I only found one with accessible symbol 3 !
So come on guys and gals remember when you visit
this years NW200/TT/MGP make sure to visit the
Joey Dunlop Foundation fundraising Stand to be found in the paddock. Richard ' Milky' Quayle
can be found giving his spare time to this fund
and also Barry Wood, both former winners of the
TT course. Give them your support NOW!
In case you're not sure what the purpose of this lodge is, it's for disabled and injured riders
to accommodate them during their stay on the Isle of Man.
