Since this thread is supposed to be about riders stories and experience here's my Phill Read story.

I broke down between Hillberry and Cronk-na-Mona a few years ago during practice and I decided to sit on the bamk and watch the following classic session from there. Soon enough Phill Read stopped at the exact same place as me he got off the bike and marched over towards me and asked me for a cigarette I told him I had none and he muttered "your no f****** good to me then" and he stompped of in the direction of douglas
