Grandstand - End of Lap 1
Oversby is flying and is first over the line, having caught and passed Bill Swallow and Wattie Brown on the road. He has taken 40 seconds out of Wattie Brown by the end of this lap. (39.41 official)

Dennis Gallagher goes across the line, followed by Richard Coates

Positions at end of the lap.

Oversby
Swallow
Jefferies
Wood
Brown

It looks as if Oversby is nudging the lap record and he is in with a shout at taking it on the flying 2nd lap.

Barry Wood will stop at the end of the 2nd lap to refuel, due to the new tank regulations dictating smaller tanks for this years race, and may well drop down the field.

Ramsey - Lap 2
Positions at Ramsey look just as they were at Glen Helen, with Swallow in front by 10 seconds.

Now that Oversby is out, the lap record is looking out of reach now for any of the other riders.

Swallow,
Jefferies
Loder
Brown
Goodall
Wood

Richard Coates bike has a defective exhaust and may well have to pull up.

Dave Madsen-Mygdal looking good at Ramsey.
