Jimmy Morton
The legendary figure Jimmy Morton who died earlier this year was remembered last night at Shawlands Hotel, Larkhall. Many well known Scottish characters past and present attended, and Sammy Miller and I came up over the border to pay our respects.
It was an amazing night, a genuine tribute to a great man, and I'm sure his family appreciated the huge turnout.
Are there any more Jimmy Mortons out there I ask myself,or was he the last of a byegone age?
Also, as Jimmy was a past President of the SACU, why were none of the senior members present, despite being invited?
Jimmy, you've left us, but you will never be forgotten.

Re: Jimmy Morton
Jimmy was a national treasure and will never be matched. Sorry to hear no-one from the SACU felt they should be there. A poor show from them, I would say.
