I'll be very interested to hear opinions as to "where".

I'm in the middle of an ongoing discussion/argument on this very point!

Bloody hell Arthur - you've stuck a spanner in the works.

My mate reckons it's Crosby - I've been telling him for weeks not to be so bloody silly - it's Bray Hill of course, with the print swivelled clockwise.

But Union Mills?

When I'm over for the pre TT next year, I'm going to walk the left-hand footpaths at all three locations, and see if I can solve the mystery :!:

My answer was a total guess, the only thing I was sure about is that it was a Velocette. The only reason I suggested Union Mills is i have seen a picture of Stan Woods in that race taken at Union Mills and I would not thought there were too many photographers about in 1939.
On reflection the bottom of Bray is probably right.

Not Bray Hill, think the Crosby idea is most likely.

Definitely Crosby Crossroads. There is now a Millennium Way footpath signpost, roughly at the spot where the black car now is. And the house there served as the shop and post office for many years--er, before my time, by the way!

OK, Crosby it is.

I'd better go and make my apologies to Davy Crawford . . . . . .
