In todays Manx paper, John Harris is worried about the Joe Dunlop Lodge not being built on the Island as planned. If fact he has called for it to be built in Ireland, this is due to the very poor surport from the Island along with the problems within the Government in not granting planning permission, John is confident that if the lodge is moved to Ireland it will get all the help it needs and it could have been up and running by now.

Thanks for highlighting that. Of course it MUST be built on the Island. It was an Island idea and the work has been done by Island people, to build an Island facility.
I do agree it is shameful that on an Island where there are so many very wealthy people things like the Mighty Oak appeal, and the JDF are having to compete for money raised largely from those who have far less. Come on "haves", a little generosity might ensure your place in the afterlife (or even in the hospice or the Lodge)!
