The works now complete and all i can see thats been done is they have turned the soil over, re tarmact the road and repainted, not going to make that much differance

That's good to hear, there were some funny bumps mid corner. Smoothing it out should aid safety and keeping the same shape will mean that the kitty litter will still help - wouldn't have been the case if they had straightened it out/made it faster.
