Andrew has added some extra views, some on my recommendation especially the Cronk-y-Voddee..
I'm already doing laps to find subjects for articles etc, running through some well worn video tapes of the Douglas Bay hotel of the Bill Smith/ Robert Cox (Renolds Chains)/ Alan Dugdale/ Family Haslam era I took myself and of the course with the camera on the roof of my car.
Youtube has a lap by Steve Hislop which is now stored on my desktop so it can be run whenever.
Looking forward to seeing Shaun, cheeky beggar, he's been in the white car a few times. It was a struggle coming out of Ramsey one year with Shaun, Doug Randall and on top of that, two pals who totalled at least 40 stone !
Add to that the weight of me, Doug and Shaun, a roofrack of racing tyres, a bootful of tools and parts.....Well I can see why he thought it was not, or was not capable of doing a nippy lap !! But on a good day POO it wasn't !!!
In 2015 I celebrate 68 years as a devoted TTFan
Bookingfor 2016 !!

I'm trying to persuade the Museum people to devote some space to the 50th anniversary of the 100mph lap. They are getting a nice piece of memorabilia from someone across here, and I am sure I could get more. If they don't have space...where else could we do this? The Hydro used to be a "Scottish" base...where is now?
