She must have found that escape route Ali, as I have just had a text to say that the broomstick passed over Santon on it's way home at 17:40 or so.

Thanks to all who txt, emailed, set a card, phoned and visited...I'm home, still a bit sore, but I think Don's diagnosis might be right and the reason for the extreme pain was probably the stone being passed.
Nothing showed up in the tests, so it looks like I'll be around for a bit longer, folks.
The zapping finger is working well, and has been exercised on a spate of spanmmers this morning.

What good news!

I am so pleased to hear that all is well.

Have it good authority that passing a kidney stone is one of THE most
painful things the body can throw at you. But of course, no poblem for a woman!

The timing could have been so much worse, of course.
The roads could have been closed!

See you son

A great escape, Helen !
I am sorry to be so far behind the news. But congratulations to Gail and Helen on the Great Escape ! It reminds me of another famous hospital escape many years ago :

Mike Hailwood was recovering in hospital from serious leg injuries sustained in 1974 at Nurburgring. At the same time fellow F1 driver, Guy Edwards was recovering from having broken both his wrists. The hospital's food was so dreadful that escape to a nearby restaurant became a matter of great urgency. Mike couldn't operate the pedals because of the plaster and Guy couldn't steer. But, they decided that they could drive a car between them.

Guy crouched down on the floor operating the pedals according to Mike's directions and Mike steered. They managed to sneak out of the hospital and drive to one of their favourite restaurants. They had a wonderful meal and the evening looked like being a great success. However, they were stopped by the police on their way back to the hospital. Did I mention that Mike's legs were hanging out of the window??? LOL!! The policeman couldn't believe his eyes. But, when he started to write the summons and heard who it was he let them go with a caution and a laugh.

I am hoping that Helen's escape was less eventful LOL!!
Get well soon, Helen, and well done, Gail !
Harry
