I have read various comments about No Tea Tent at this years TT and in fact only learnt that this facility was not available when I visited the website yesterday.

Like most Charities I am reliant upon volunteers and have been fortunate to recruit several youngsters to work In The Hailwood Centre. I would like to keep the centre open later but am concious of the fact that my staff work from 14.00 to 21.00 and would not like to contravene any regulations by asking them to work longer.

If I had known about the Tea Tent situation I may have been able to have new rota's, I know some people have commented about the busy Centre but please be patient as it is difficult to get volunteers and in fact we have had to cancel our Celeb BBQ due to lack of helpers.

Maybe next year the TTSC could work in conjunction with the Mike Hailwood Foundation, something to work on next winter !!!
