Our mystery man played football at international level for Nothern Ireland and the unusual incident was football related

He played most of his football for Irish league side Glenavon

But he did once play for Belfast Celtic which is when the "incident" happened.


He claims to have avoided signing his annual football contract untill very near the start of the football season because if "they" had know abut his motorcycle racing activities then "they" would have forced him to stop.


BTW he is alive and well aged 75 now

Had to ask my football mad boss for this, he assures me it's centre forward Jimmy Jones, and the notable incident was that he was badly injured during rioting at a match on Boxing Day (not sure of the year).
