Thanks very much John. I'm very happy with third. Would've been second but I lost a lot of time in the pit.I've had a dreadful year and I'm delighted and relieved to be in the top 3. I've done this race since 1990 most years and never been lower than 4th so I'm not complaining!! Thanks for your good wishes.

We were at Union Mills cheering you on Barry. I can assure you that nobody went through there faster than you did on lap 3 after the pit stop - you obviously fancied your chances of catching Bud at that stage, even after losing 20 seconds in the pits. Like you say you've had bad luck this year, but these things happen in racing. Hopefully you'll be back on the top of the podium again in 12 months time !
