Good evening all,
As a new member, I just wanted to say hello to you all and hope we can
have interesting chinwags in the future.
I am getting on a bit and in truth have not had a bike for many years.
I have attended many TT's and MGP's in the past, but again its some time since I have been able to attend.
My first TT was in the era of the Duke, A. Bell etc.
My most enjoyable spectating has been walking from the Bungalow to the Creg during the race. Brilliant ever changing viewing with thrills galore.
I have retained my interest in the IOM and found the commentaries on the ****** web site superb and didn't mind the fee as I felt it was money well spent (particularly for someone who cant get there.
I also bought the DVD's and again superb.
If anyone is wondering, my username is connected :roll: with Football rather than Bikes. But I thought it appropriate for this forum as well.
Will come on again soon, once I get used to this Forum. ttfn.

I am a football fan of many years (a pretty sick Arsenal fan this wek!) and dont see the flyingplumber connection.

I can understand the football connection, theflyingplumber: every time the "game" (in which IMHO the players have the overall lowest skill level of all pursuits) is mentioned, I get a SINKing feeling, and if the other half mentions it, she gets told to 'washer' mouth out.
Maybe I am just being a MIXER, sat here smoking a PIPE......I must pop off now for a LEAK!

I have been looking in on the Forum for some time, and have found it interesting and entertaining, and had considered joining for quite a while.
The thing that made me hesitate was, no longer being a BIKER (in the practical sense) and being more akin to a wheelchair rider. :roll:.

Well by the sound of it :roll: not many of you are that keen on Footy (not fast enough for you ?) but I think one of you asked for a clue. Well this particular Plumber used to run amok at a place called Deepdale?????.
Now I know you are a little keen on the TT/MGP/IOM and several of you even live there, a question for you and in particular those who live on the Island. How on earth do you cure the blasted sea sickness, that I get even before the boat has left the docks?.
Not a great subject to get me off the mark I know, but apart from flying anyone got any ideas?.

My priority is roadracing, always has been always will be, however during the winter i do get drawn to my 2nd love...

I am a massive Heart of Midlothian and Liverrpool FC fan.

They both won today !!!!

Liverpool will get the tv headlines as yes ...they had us worried tbh ! but thats the magic of cup ties.

seasickness is all in the mind.
we have a 23ft boat and my hubby is the captain "so he thinks" we go out fishing in all weathers lumpy and bumpy. if we go on the big boat ie ben my chree to heysham he has to take stugeron and book a cabin as he has to lie down. this is because he is not driving.

Ali, seasickness is all in the mind?, I am sure you are right but I wish someone would convince my stomach.
I dont know about lying down, I have felt like jumping overboard at times, and if I had been able to make it to the side of the ship probably would have.
