Open letter to Mervyn White
Clerk of the Course North West 200, and everyone else involved in this weeks racing.

Can i just post our appreciation of all the work that must have gone into running such a magnificent roadrace meeting that the North West 200 provided for us today.

I cannot imagine the pressure that goes with the responsibility of decisions made over the last few days especially.

As an advertisement for Northern Ireland its been second to none.
Every race has provided unbelievable racing.

Thankyou does not seem enough to be honest.

Well said Stella. As many of us know, you have personal experience of tragedy, and I have been close to it too, so we can appreciate the difficult decisions that have to be made.I feel sure that Robert would have wished for the racing to continue and he would have been so proud of Michael.

Thanks Hilary just off out for some fresh air, been watching and updating bsb forum all day Lol !

Hat trick of wins today for a special favourite of mine Steve Plater.

But the day started out with a very emotional win for Michael Dunlop, words failed me to be honest, and the tears flowed.

A trully fantastic days racing on the roads of the North West 200.

RE: Open letter to Mervyn White
Mervyn and the NORTH WEST team did a stering job not just today but all year round to put on one of the worlds best road races.

Today the best race was the 250, a very very emotional win
for Michael what courage ! I know in a different way that Michael
would have felt he needed to do this for his dad, just as I, nearly a
year ago only days after my Mum's terrible accident felt the need
to get out in the fresh air away from intensive care where Mum lay
so badly smashed up, I went to race a 10km run. Only Dad & i were
lucky Mum pulled through but it was still very tough at the time.

2nd favourite was Steve Plater winning the first 600 race what a BRAVE move four corners before the end of the race and boy he was trying, smoked them tyres !

And the last had to be the last race of the day again the 600, a
HAT-TRICK for STEVE PLATER, man to watch at the TT, HE WILL WIN A TT, I'm not saying when.

All in all a brilliant days racing best for some time, and a smoothly run
one shame Guy was the one to crash out, such bad luck that GUY!
But even worse that Robert loss his life in practise, I'm sure he was in spirit today.
And last of all what a super line up of classes, with some health & safety added with the separation of classes, it would encourage riders back!
Roll on ALAND 2009, Island Games Xlll.
Yahoo, I've achieved 3 guidelines for the Island Games & I'm selected ! May see you after at the S100 & Jurby Road.
