Wow, that's some trip. 1978 day trip to the MGP Liverpool to Douglas felt if not looked like that.

I can remember the days when the Steam Packet Boats sailed in all weathers.

Looks like the ferry I came home from the 1970 Ulster GP on.Larne to Stranrae.Gales that Sunday morning had blown down trees making it difficult to get to ferry port.Never been on a sea so rough impossible to stand up and even the crew were legless.

Mine plays you tube ok, but it stops showing the picture half way through these funnies you get sent. Thought it was fixed, but it's doing it again, and it won't show the photos on Google Earth either... sometimes I get so close to chucking it out the window.............smilie

Google Earth.....always telling me "It's got a problem and must close" - like you Helen, feel like chucking computer too.

Re: steam packet ferries. Are they reasonably comfortable these days. Over 13 years since I sailed on them but considering using them again in a couple of years instead of flying to the Island.

Google earth nearly always fails to load first time on my computer but after 2 or 3 tries it runs fine.
Sometimes it says there is an error and then opens anyway BonkBonk
