Greatest ever TT rip off
This has to be the worst case of being ripped off at the TT ever.
Scot Jenson was charged £522 by FlyB for excess baggage on his flight from IOM to Manchester, FlyB originally wanted £800 but after Scot removed some of his belongings it was reduced to £522 and all that was in his case was his leathers, boots and gloves.

Even the Steam Packets would not try that one.

Should have put them on then he wouldn't have been charged anything lol
When people say one thing and mean another its called politics, when organisers say one thing and mean another its called a mistake, when the ACU say one thing and mean another its called information.

FlyBe allows 20kg of hold luggage in one bag and 10kg of cabin luggage in one bag.

Above that is it £10 per kg for the first 3kg, £15 per kg for 3-6kgs and £20 per kg above that.

All this according to their posted charges on the website.

Certainly sounds weird if just leathers, boots and gloves to reach even the £522 listed.

Scott is such a nice chap, and it's a shame he had such a bad TT. Steve took him and two others round for the newcomers lap, and on their return Scotts huge smile said it all- "thanks, that was awesome!" was his first comment when Steve asked him if he'd enjoyed it. We last saw him when we visited Olie in Nobles, and he was still smiling despite his injuries.

Truly hope we see him again on the Island in the future- best of luck Scott.

Thankfully after the intervention of the local press it was brought to Flymaybe's attention that Scott was on a through ticket courtesy of American Airlines and should not have been charged. It seems they are to contact him in the US in order to make a refund, and a grovelling apology too I hope.
